英語連演講稿1
at you cannot get happinessby pursuing it. this is the most important of these things is an activity which at mostgradually builds up something that you are glad to see coming intoexistence. women who take an instinctive pleasure in their childrencan get this kind of satisfaction out of bringing up a sts and authors and men of science get happiness in this way iftheir own work seems good to them. but there are many humbler formsof the same kind of pleasure. many men who spend their working lifein the city devote their weekends to voluntary and unremuneratedtoil in their gardens, and when the spring comes, they experienceall the joys of having created beauty. the whole subject ofhappiness has, in my opinion, been treated too solemnly.
it had been thought that man cannot be happy without a theory oflife or a religion. perhaps those who have been rendered unhappy bya bad theory may need a better theory to help them to recover, justas you may need a tonic when you have been ill. but when things arenormal a man should be healthy without a tonic and happy without atheory. it is the simple things that really matter. if a mandelights in his wife and children, has success in work, and findspleasure in the alternation of day and night, spring and autumn, hewill be happy whatever his philosophy may be. if,>’snoise unendurable, and the office a nightmare; if in the daytime helongs for night, and at night sighs for the light of day, then whathe needs is not a new philosophy but a new regimen--a differentdiet, or more exercise, or what not. man is an animal, and hishappiness depends.

good morning, everyone! i`m very happy to have this chance to give my presentation. before i start my speech, please let me ask you a question. do you think you are confident in yourself? if you are, do please raise your hand.
my topic today is “ to be a confident person.”
what is confidence? confidence is to trust yourself. confidence is to look upon yourself. it is not to indulge in self-admiration. it is not to get extremely arrogant. it is not to get dizzy with success or to be opinionated. it is just to inspire yourself ahead of a quality of mind, in high spirit, full of energy. it is to meet the challenges of life in a positive mood. it is to overcome your inferiority, farewell, to get rid of the trouble of a a ready-made panacea.
remember, i have just entered junior high school. in the face of the challenge of new environment, in the face of so many new courses and learning contents, i lost faith in my own and gradually developed a psychological sense of inferiority. achievement glided ceaselessly. it is a teacher and mother who encouraged me and let me regain confidence. gradually, my grades got higher and higher and everything began to go on well. gradually i adapted to the life in middle school.
friends, let's say goodbye to inferiority. let’s be a confident person. because: only if you have self-confidence, can you control yourself; only if you have confidence, can you achieve success and create your a brilliant life of your own!

honorable judges, fellow students:
good afternoon!
recently, there is a heated debate in our society. the collegestudents are the beneficiaries of a rare privilege, who receiveexceptional education at extraordinary places. but will we be ableto face the challenge and support ourselves against all odds? willwe be able to better the lives of others? will we be able to acceptthe responsibility of building the future of ourcountry?
the cynics say the college students are the pampered lostgeneration, whi(征集網)ch would cringe at the slightest discomfort. but thecynics are wrong. the college students i see are eagerly learningabout how to live independently. we help each other clean thedormitory, go shopping and bargain together, and take part timejobs to supplement our pocket money.
the cynics say we care for nothing other than grades; and weneglect the need for character cultivation. but again, the cynicsare wrong. we care deeply for each other, we cherish freedom, wetreasure justice, and we seek truth.
last week, thousands of my fellow students had their blood typetested in order to make a contribution for the children who sufferfrom blood cancer.
as college students, we are adolescents at the critical turningpoint in our lives. we all face a fundamental choice: cynicism orfaith, each will profoundly impact our future, or even the futureof our country. i believe in all my fellow classmates. though weare still inexperienced and even a little bit childish.
i believe that we have the courage and faith to meet anychallenge and take>

like a child endlessly asking, we humans, throughout history, have been continually demanding what we desire from nature. we enjoy the comfort and beauty of our furniture, yet we never bother to think about the serious soil erosion caused by deforestation. we take it for granted that we must warm ourselves in winter times, yet we seldom realize the burning away of precious natural resources. we appreciate all the prosperity from the development of modern industry, yet few would give the slightest consideration to the global air and water pollution caused by industrial wastes. our ruthless exploitation has permanently impaired our mother earth. as we tragically learned from last summers floods. we cannot continue our carelessness.
finally, standing here at the threshold of the 21st century, we cannot help thinking of our posterity. nature is not only the mother of the present generation, but also the mother of the generations to come. how severely our descendents will criticize us if we leave them a barren and lifeless mother? how much more they will appreciate us if we give them a world of harmony to inherit? let us start respecting and caring for nature from now on. let us start the campaign of creating a mutually beneficial relationship between people and nature right from this moment. with this new start, i firmly believe, that our children, and our childrens children will live in a brand new age of green trees, clean air, crystal water, blue sky and an even more promising world!
