學生自我表達能力的體現。
導師選學生的過程，首先考慮學生未來就業所在地;其次考慮學生家庭經濟情況，是否有讀博的條件;最后考慮學生的性格等等。
自我介紹是面試過程中學生唯一可以事前做好最充分準備的“題目”，如果連這道題目都準備不好甚至敷衍了事，無疑能夠讓人看出很多問題來。
學生如何在最短的時間內把自己的基本情況、專業基礎和優勢特長清晰地表達出來，這本身就是一種能力。自我介紹做的很好的話，就會大大節省復試時間，因為已經把導師關心的很多信息都說出來了，尤其是自己的專業特長、思想和思維，都很好地表達出來了，后面老師就不用反復問了。自我介紹也是面試的第一印象。
2、導師從自我介紹中得到什么？
(1)學生的學校、專業、家庭等信息。
例如：學校比較差的學生，可能專業技術不是那么扎實，導師帶的時候會比較費力。家庭經濟條件比較差的學生，可能會大量的時間用在打工上，致使做的研究不會很深，或者這樣的學生讀博的可能性比較小。
(2)學生的'基本個人信息、家庭情況、基本語言表達能力和讀研態度等。

3、什么樣的自我介紹能讓導師眼前一亮？

(2)充滿創意、別出心裁的自我介紹肯定可以讓導師耳目一新，但它除了更方便讓導師記起這名考生或者在以后成為關于考研面試話題的談資外，可能并不會比非常平實、真誠的介紹效果更好。
(3)有個性的介紹。內容雖然都是那些內容，但是套路不能都是同一個樣子，就像唱歌，雖然是同一首歌，但每個人唱的味道都不同。復試的時候，面試小組要面試多位考生，如果學生都按同一個套路下來，肯定后面的學生介紹到一半的時候，老師就不讓你介紹了，所以一定要突出個性。

1) 考官要求你作自我介紹時，不要用let me introduce myself briefly / please allow me to introduce myself to you等句子，重復、啰嗦。開頭可以只用一句話引入：Dear professors, I feel so glad to meet all of you here。然后就可以進入主題，介紹姓名、年齡等等。
2) 自我介紹的主體內容。
① 姓名。介紹自己姓名時，發音一定要準(南方考生要多加注意)。
② 年齡。年齡可以跟在姓名后帶過(I am XXX, 25 years old)。
③ 原來的院校、專業。注意：一定要把原來學校的英文名稱、專業的英文名稱弄清楚(尤其是跨校、跨專業的學生)。
所屬的公司、職位。注意：在職考生則應將自己公司、自己職位/職稱的英文名稱弄明白。
④ 性格、能力。可以著重強調你的個性對你報考的專業有何積極的作用。如果報考的是學術性的專業，可以說自己細心(carefully，detail- oriented)、條理分明(logical)、踏實(steady)等;如果是研究性、應用性更強一點的專業，可以說自己負責 (responsible)、可靠(dependable)、有效率(efficient)等。

⑤ 愛好。All work and no play make Jack a dull boy. 除了強調你的學習的重視，同時也要避免給考官一種書呆子的感覺。一般可以從體育、音樂、電影等方面來說，同時要簡單說明這些愛好對你的積極意義 (build my body, relax myself, open my mind);注意避免提到那些可能引起考官反感的愛好，如：playing computer games，watching TV等。
⑥ 你對報考的專業有興趣(be interested in/be fascinated with/be obsessed with)，可適當舉出一些例子，如經常看相關的書籍、論文、文章、新聞等。在職考生可以強調知識教育對工作的影響： In my work, I find it necessary to broaden my horizons in communication. Thats why I long for entering your prestigious university。
3) 結束時可以用說：Thats all about me. / Well, thats who I am. Thanks for your attention。
2. 家庭、家鄉、學校篇。考官其實是要通過你的家庭、家鄉或學校來了解你的成長的環境。
1) 家庭。需要注意的是，考官并不是為了做人口調查而提出這個問題的，所以應該避免流水賬似地介紹家庭成員;要盡量說明家人(尤其是父母)對你造成哪些方面 (性格、職業規劃、做事風格等)良好的影響。可以參考以下句式結構：Just like my father, I am especially interested in history. / Though my father is an ordinary worker, his responsible attitude towards work has a great influence on me。
2) 家鄉。正所謂一方水土養育一方人，考官實際上是想從你對家鄉的介紹中找出有關你性格、志向的線索。可以從歷史、歷史人物、著名景點、獨特風俗或特產等方面來簡單介紹，注意要表達熱愛家鄉的情感。

再次，我來介紹一下我的畢業之后的工作情況，我大致工作了兩年的時間，第一年是在福建迪特工業設計公司，擔任工業設計師，主要從事產品設計工作，曾在設計總監的帶領下為參加多個設計項目—泉州佳樂集團開發的可視門鈴設計和輝煌水暖08年的新產品開發設計。其中為輝煌水暖開發命名為龍的水龍頭已投入生產并獲得了好評。第二年是在福建文創太陽能有限公司工作，擔任設計師，主要的工作為太陽能燈具和音響的產品設計，公司畫冊的設計；為公司的設計的多款太陽能燈具已投入生產，并受到了客戶的好評，在工業設計小組共同努力下設計的太陽能音響已進入了產品的測試階段，在公司的期間曾多次到車間深入了解材料工藝模具加工和產品生產過程，多次到廣交會順德工業設計博覽會了解市場的產品信息。
最后，我想談一下，我考研的原因和研究的方向，我喜歡做設計，當看著自己的創意和產品得到別人認可的時候是一件無比興奮的事情；還有就是兩年的工作經驗讓我認識到我專業知
識的局限，感覺在設計方面還有很多東西要學，自己的知識和能力還遠遠不夠，特別是在經濟快速發展的今天，更需要通過系統的復習來提高自己的能力，來最大化地實現自我價值，想通過3年的學習來對工業設計有個更加深入的了解，我很喜歡學校的感覺和體現出來的學習氛圍，到處充滿著青春活力，有很多的機會讓你去實踐和嘗試，讓人可以深入思考和進行學術的研究。如果我有機會在這所學校學習，我計劃把自己的研究方向定為工業設計，因為我發現設計在社會的發展中發揮了越來越重要的作用，特別在國家由制造業大國轉變為創新型國家的時候更是如此，雖然現在中國整個社會對設計的認可還不是很高，特別是在一些中小型企業中，但是縱觀一些發達國家的發展過程，不難發現，工業設計將會在社會發展起到不可替代的作用。
